Shut Down Andgar Piggery and Demand Justice for the Surviving Pigs

Horrific new footage from Farm Transparency Project has exposed one of Australia’s worst factory farms, Andgar Piggery in Dublin, South Australia. Pigs have been filmed drowning in deep mud and waste, trapped in piles of rotting corpses, living among decomposing bodies and suffering from horrific untreated wounds.

This cruelty is clearly in breach of South Australia’s animal welfare laws. Despite this, the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA), RSPCA SA and the Department for Environment and Water (DEW) have failed to shut this place down. Enough is enough. If the government will not act to protect animals, we will demand it.

What we’re demanding

We call on the Hon Susan Close MP, PIRSA, RSPCA and DEW to:

  • Immediately shut down Andgar Piggery.
  • Prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law for animal cruelty and neglect.
  • Rescue all surviving pigs and provide urgent veterinary care.

Why this matters

These pigs have suffered for far too long. The conditions they have endured are not only horrendous but a living nightmare, pure torture and utter neglect. Local people were horrified enough to report the conditions weeks before this footage was even taken, and yet the cruelty continued. This is not just animal abuse, it is a complete failure of our animal welfare system and a wake-up call for real political change.

By signing this petition, you are showing the South Australian Government that our community will not accept cruelty and neglect hidden behind factory farm walls. We are demanding accountability now and a better future for all animals.

Take action now

Add your name and stand with us. Together we can shut this piggery down and make sure this never happens again.

By signing, you agree to receive updates from AJP SA, actions you can take as part of a strong pressure campaign to shut this place down, and other ways you can be a voice for the animals and help end factory farming in South Australia for good.
