Greyhounds Deserve Better – Let’s End Greyhound Racing in SA

Every report into the industry uncovers horror stories. Most dogs do not win, and when they fail, they will be quickly replaced. Footage of overt cruelty or training dogs with live animals as lures emerges frequently despite being illegal.

In one quarter of 2025 in SA alone, there were 272 dogs injured during races.

This is an industry driven by gambling and greed, with dogs paying a heavy price, and people falling victim to problem gambling, often leading to drug and alcohol abuse, and increased incidences of family violence.

Despite this, the industry has received millions in stimulus packages and tax concessions in recent years.

AJP believes this money can be spent improving the lives of animals and people of South Australia.
