Deb Horley for Wright

Deb Horley is an animal justice party candidate standing in the seat of Wright. Deb has lived in the electorate her whole life and is passionate about protecting the area's wildlife.

She became interested in animal advocacy after learning about the systems that caused suffering to animals, particularly around agriculture. She has actively involved with organisations like Animal Liberation SA, the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses and Animals Australia to advocate for animals exposed to cruelty.

Alongside her advocacy, Deb has a background in education and community service. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide, and spent much of her teaching English to international students. She has also worked in early childhood education and has volunteered with OARs (Offenders Aid and Rehabilitation Services of South Australia).

Deb is a strong advocate for Veticare, AJP's affordable veterinary care policy that ensures families can afford to care for their companion animals in times of financial stress. She will also use this election to advocata for wildlife.

Over the years, Deb has rescued many animals and she now shares her life with her five rescued cats.

We are a small volunteer organisation in SA which relies on donations from our supporters. Running in elections costs a tidy sum, so we need your help. Your donation will support activities like advertising, printing and the $1,000 candidate deposit to the Electoral Commission of South Australia.
