Geoff Russell, Second Candidate for the Legislative Council

Geoff Russell combined a working life in IT with working for animals ever since becoming vegetarian and then vegan in the 1980s. In 2009 he wrote a book about the high red meat CSIRO "Total Wellbeing" diet, which he describes as the most environmentally destructive diet on the planet. It may also give you bowel cancer. The book was recommended by several high profile people, including Rosemary Stanton, then Australia's most trusted dietitian. He blogs from time to time and has been published in various places. Now retired, he is still working toward a ban on duck shooting and hoping for a better future for animals, people and the planet.
